Physical effort is really important for young children and in this week’s Masterclass we discussed why it is so important and how we can facilitate this at home:
Why young children love and NEED real, hard work like this: pushing, pulling, lifting, dragging things that are often “too heavy” for them. (panting and being out of breath is good!)
The importance of this work for our child’s development.
How we can provide opportunities for these experiences easily and inexpensively at home.
What size/shape of objects are the most satisfying for them to manoeuvre with.
